[ RING SIZE HELP ]
The most accurate way is to have your finger measured at a local jewellery store - it is free of charge almost everywhere. Every GONE.ARCHIVE ring is hand carved and finished to order in the size you choose, so it is worth getting right before you order. If you have no access to a jeweller, use the paper method below.
How to measure your ring size at home with a strip of paper
Take a strip of paper 3 mm wide (the width matters) and about 100 mm long.
- Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight.
- Tape the paper where it overlaps, to form a closed circle.
- Try it on and off a few times. If it does not slide over the knuckle cleanly, start again - it has to be right.
- Cut the circle, measure its length in millimetres, and read that as your finger circumference.
- Compare the circumference to the chart below.
Measure a few times over a day or so. Fingers react to heat and cold, so a single measurement can mislead you. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one.
Two things that will give you the wrong size
- Do not measure your finger circumference with a measuring tape. It is far too wide and will read several sizes too large.
- Do not measure a ring's diameter with a ruler. Only callipers are accurate enough for this.
Wide bands need a larger size
The wider the band - and the thicker the shank at the bottom - the larger the size you need. This matters most on signet rings and heavy bands, where a size that fits a thin band can be too tight.

If your size is not listed
If you do not see your size, or anything about sizing is unclear, contact us before ordering, or send a DM to @gone.archive on Instagram. We answer.
Before you order
Be sure of your size before placing the order. Every piece is made to order - the atelier does not accept returns on rings that are the wrong size due to customer error or a change of mind. Production takes approximately 3–6 weeks depending on current demand.
