Stones set into carved metal, not onto it
Most commercial settings start from the stone: a mount is designed, the stone drops in, the metal disappears behind it. Here the metal comes first. The form is carved, then the stone is set into the face - garnets, rubies, blue sapphires, black and champagne diamonds, tourmalines. The result reads as a stone embedded in worked rock rather than as a solitaire.

Silver settings in .925 sterling silver and solid 14k gold settings from 1,819 EUR. Champagne diamonds in KIGK, pavé-set diamonds in LATHAR, rubies in ERD and MALTIPR, garnets in FATM and RETTA, blue sapphires in FATM and WAVR. Stone-set signet rings - OVLAR, FRIGIT, TOLM - carry diamonds in the flat face.
